Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Connect to existing water piping runs with New Insulated CPVC piping. • Provide new ball valves at all connections to isolate each piping run both before and after connections. (Refer to suggested drawings for locations and number of 1 ½” valves – see Appendix A.) If connections at sinks allow to keep shut offs, then no need for new valves. • All connections to existing copper lines should be “Propress” to limit any open flame soldering. • Piping consists of 1 ½” cold and hot water lines with a ¾” hot water return line. • Concrete coring for wall penetrations. o All concrete penetrations need to be filled with fire rated caulk or foam. • All piping work and concrete penetrations need to be prebuilt before final connections. • All materials below ceiling will need to be Stainless Steel or Galvanized for kitchen areas. • All piping, fastener areas, and mounting will need to have a Stainless Steel or Galvanized Cover with Security Screws attaching the Cover or covers. (Refer to suggested drawings – see Appendix A.) • Piping needs to follow the original diagram for sizes and flows to all fixtures.
