Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Install/maintain all necessary equipment required for existing roof demolition and new roof installation. This is to ensure that the work area is safe and clean for the proposed roof replacement. 2. Remove all gravel from the roof to prepare existing roof for demolition. 3. Remove the existing roof down to the existing steel decking. All existing decking shall be exposed and inspected. 4. Remove and replace all deteriorated steel decking. A square foot unit price for the replacement of steel decking will be required. The number of square feet being replaced shall be discussed with the City of New Britain Project Manager prior to replacement. 5. Removal and disposal of all debris from existing roof and also all scrap material from new proposed roofing system. 6. Over the exposed roof deck, install polyisocyanurate roof insulation with a minimum R value of 30. Insulation shall be mechanically fastened in place by manufacturer’s specifications to ensure a Class 90 wind uplift rating. Two options of insulation can be provided but not required in the unit pricing. 7. Install reinforced membrane over the new insulation attached every 6” on center in the seam or as per manufacturer’s specifications. 8. Provide and install new preformed pipe seals at all plumbing vents. 9. Install flashing for all curbs, drains and stacks as per manufacturer’s specification. 10.Replace existing pitch pockets and fill with pourable sealer to manufacturer’s specification. 11.Provide and install new .040 aluminum metal edging and flashing to new roof surface using manufacturer’s specified flashing. 12.Site cleanup and removal of all debris from worksite.
