The work consists of existing concrete rooftop coating removal, concrete rooftop substrate preparation and repair, and the furnishing and application of a spray applied, 100% solids, fast cure, high build polymer system that prevents the passage of water and complies with the physical property requirements specified herein, along with incidental related work. Compliance shall be demonstrated by third party testing meeting the requirements of the specifications. THE EXISTING ROOF DECK COATING TO BE REMOVED TESTED POSITIVE FOR LEAD AND BARIUM. ALL WASTE PRODUCTS GENERATED FROM REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING COATING SHALL BE CONTAINED AND DISPOSED OF AS HAZARDOUS WASTE. Additionally, the three (3) laminated wood arches shall be cleaned with a wood cleaner and stained with a penetrating semi-transparent, premium modified oil formula wood stain. ALL LIQUIDS USED TO CLEAN THE WOOD ARCHES SHALL BE CAPTURED AND DISPOSED OF AS HAZARDOUS WASTE. Arch A1 will be equipped with class II lightning protection and pressure sensitive cured EPDM flashing on the upper surface. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and the specifications for a complete, usable and warranteed project.
