Sources Sought Notice Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center On behalf of the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center (Milwaukee VA) located at 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI, the Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is seeking a contractor to provide MRI Technologist services as soon as possible. The contractor shall provide two full-time MRI Technologists for a base period of one year, and one six-month option to extend. The services would be needed Monday through Friday with shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Technologists will be assigned to one of the dedicated shifts. MRI Technologists will be required to provide on-call and call-back services, which will be rotated amongst all MRI Technologists on week nights and every fourth weekend based on staffing. On-call hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., weekends from 8:00 p.m. on Friday through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, and federal holidays. Overtime hours would apply on an as-needed basis for any hours worked over 40 hours per week. Required education or training: All MRI Technologists must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to apply all aspects of the MRI process to obtain quality images for radiologist interpretation. All MRI Technologists must have an associate s or bachelor s degree from an accredited radiology program and have ARRT (R) (MR) certifications with minimum two years experience. Each MRI Technologist shall be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) with a CPR certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). The NAICS for this requirement is 561320 Temporary Help Services, which has a small business size standard of $34 million. It is the intent of the VA to issue a single award, fixed-price contract. All qualified vendors that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to respond with the following: A brief description of the company background, experience in providing MRI Technologist Services, socioeconomic status (business size) and vendor s UEI number. Narrative that includes the number of qualified MRI Technologists that are available to begin working under a contract with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2023.
