The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a Contractor to perform a complete, zero hour refurbishment of a generator used to power the USAC Dredge Goetz.

The generator shall be disassembled, and all the electrical components shall be resistance tested and Meg tested. All parts shall be steam cleaned, all winding parts will be dried in at a minimum of 300 degrees, in an oven, then secondary resistance and Meg testing shall be conducted. A report will be provided to the Government with all readings measured. All machined parts shall be checked to confirm they are within factory specifications. The unit will receive a reworked rotating assembly complete with new core built to current design standards. The unit shall also receive new bearings, diodes, capacitor, insulators, RTD’s a surge protector. The unit shall be built to an as new condition with all safety upgrades installed.
The windings shall be over sprayed with a red glyptol epoxy. Unit will be re-assembled and tested against the original test data to insure credibility of the insulation system and operability. A copy of the test data will be provided to the Government. A finish coat of paint on all surfaces shall be applied to the unit before shipment.
Vendor is responsible for the shipment of the Generator unit to their facility and the return to the Government facility in Fountain City.
All work shall be completed and the generator returned to the Fountain City, WI Service Base no later than May 1, 2024.
