The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a qualified Marine Surveyor to perform annual condition inspection on the Dredge Goetz and the Quarters Barge Taggatz. The contract shall be for one (1) year, with four (4) option periods, exercisable by the Government. The Marine surveyor shall be accredited by either the National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) or the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) and have at least 5 years of experience in commercial marine plant and equipment.
The inspections shall take place near the start of the annual dredging seasons, while the vessels are fully operational, between 1 May and 15 July. Inspections shall take place at the USACE Fountain City, WI Service Base, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. Typical inspections have taken one day per vessel. The inspection price quoted shall constitute full compensation for the services, including all travel and lodging expenses.
Contractor shall submit a written report within 14 days of inspection completion. At a minimum the report shall include a narrative of the inspection, a map of ultrasonic test locations, photographs of areas inspected and a recommended course of action for deficiencies. No specific format is required. Copies of previous reports are available.
OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation.
This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business under NAICS 541990, with an SBA size standard of $19,000,000 average annual revenue.
