Background The Montana VA Health Care System s primary objective is to enter into a firm fixed price, non-personal services contract in order to provide Underground Storage Tank (UST) Repairs. The purpose of this is to procure a specialized contractor / vendor that is certified by the Montana DEQ to perform highly technical work on Fuel Oil UST s. The UST that serves the Bldg. 158 Emergency Diesel Generator requires repairs and possible tank top manway replacement due to wear and tear damage to the existing arrangement. In addition, The UST that serves the Bldg. 171 Boiler Plant Fuel & Emergency Diesel Generator requires repairs and sensor wire replacement due to wear and tear damage to the existing sensor wire, which is below ground inside an electrical conduit. General Scope of Work for all locations The purpose of this SOW is to procure a specialized contractor / vendor that is certified by the Montana DEQ to perform highly technical work on Fuel Oil UST s. The UST that serves the Bldg. 158 Emergency Diesel Generator requires repairs and possible tank top manway replacement due to wear and tear damage to the existing arrangement. In addition, The UST that serves the Bldg. 171 Boiler Plant Fuel & Emergency Diesel Generator requires repairs and sensor wire replacement due to wear and tear damage to the existing sensor wire, which is below ground inside an electrical conduit. Contractor Requirement The following description(s) defines the type of contractor required to perform the work for Fort Harrison VAMC - Contractor must have all appropriate Certifications, Licenses, Training, and Insurance to perform highly technical work on Fuel Oil Underground Storage Tanks in the State of Montana. All above requirements must be issued and maintained by the State of Montana Department of Environmental Quality (MT DEQ) and conform to all requirements as per the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). Service or Work Description The Contractor shall provide the following repairs and technical work: BLDG. 158 RISER REPAIR: Remove the PVC Riser and provide / install a new Steel Riser for the sensor probe Modification to the electrical conduit which is currently obstructing the top of the riser Attempt to install the customer provided exposed tank top manway (if possible) Reseal the manway access cover - include removing the existing sealant around the manway structure, cleaning the surface area, and applying new sealant Ensure that the Veeder Root system is operating correctly and perform a functionality test to prove this to be true BLDG. 171 SENSOR WIRE REPLACEMENT: Attempt to remove the existing Veeder Root sensor wire that appears to be shorted out and replace with a new Veeder Root approved wire (to be acquired prior to performing the work) Ensure that the Veeder Root system is operating correctly and perform a functionality test to prove this to be true (i.e. water and tightness testing) IMPORTANTR NOTE: This Sources Sought is for information only (to determine the socioeconomic status of interested companies).
