The purpose of this amendment is to re-define the scope of work as revealed during the recent site visit including an adjustment to required work.
The following solicitation issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area Office (PAO) is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information.
Set-Aside Requirement
This solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business. This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to solicitation closing. Pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov.

Contract Line Items (Schedule of Items)
Electronic Controls & Mechanical Repairs and Upgrade to NCSL HVAC System
• Replace all four steam coils leaking in Air Handler #3 in the West Penthouse.
• Replace all four steam gate valves and two pneumatic controlled steam valves currently leaking.
• Replace the existing controls on Unit #3 which are Pneumatic and in need of upgrade.
• Replace pneumatic controllers with DDC actuators on Air Handler #6.
• Replace leaking steam coil in air handler #BP-AH-1.
• Replace original team traps, strainers, isolation valves, check valves, and vacuum breakers.
• Install check valves on discharge side of two (2) glycol pumps for refrigeration equipment and install two (2) VFD drives.

Additionally, it is the responsibility of the offeror to attend an in-person site visit scheduled for the 29th of November 2023 and a record of attendance shall be made available to the contract officer. Site visit is scheduled for the 29th of November 2023 at 10:00hrs CDT.
