The 119th Wing is conducting preliminary Market Research to determine an available pool of vendors who can provide local Laundry Services to the 119th Wing, North Dakota Air National Guard in Fargo, North Dakota. The potential dates of required Laundry Services are 1 February 2024 – 31 January 2029 (5 Years).
Requirements:
119th Wing has bed linen to be laundered monthly throughout the year. The linens requiring laundering will be for twin XL mattresses; all linens are constructed of a cotton poly blend. Each linen “set” includes one pillowcase, one fitted sheet, one flat sheet and one blanket/comforter. A “peak season” exists where there will be two (2) loads of linens per month requiring laundering from May through September; all other months are estimated to require one load of linen to be laundered. It is estimated that 40 linen sets per month will require laundering during non-peak season months (October through April each year). During the peak season (May through September each year), up to a maximum of 120 linen sets will require laundering, with this quantity separated into two (2) loads per month. The requirement for each linen set will be to wash, dry, fold and sort into individually wrapped linen sets. If additional quantities of linen items are required to be laundered that do not make up a full set, they may be folded, wrapped, and returned in one bundle sorted by item type.
In the cooler/colder months of the year, there will also be additional cold weather gear that requires laundering. This gear consists of cover-alls and/or jackets and a "set" is comprised of one (1) pair of cover-alls and one (1) jacket. There are no special requirements for washing this gear, as the coveralls are cotton, and the jackets are a nylon/poly blend. A quantity of 5 to 10 sets of these items are required to be laundered per month, 6 months out of the year. No other cold weather gear will require laundering.
The 119th Wing is seeking a local vendor to complete the laundering of all items identified above (linens and cold weather gear). The 119th Wing will drop off and pick up at the vendor’s location/place of business and a vendor within a reasonable driving distance (within approximately 15 miles) of the 119th Wing, located at 1400 32nd Ave. North, Fargo, ND is highly desired. The turn-around time for each drop off is required to be within two weeks from date in which the laundry is delivered by the government to the vendor for laundering services. The vendor must provide linen bags for transportation (minimum 25 bags).
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code used for industry classification is 812320 “Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin-Operated)”. This industry comprises establishment primarily engaged in providing laundry services, such as picking up, dropping off, laundry cleaning.
