A. This is a solicitation for Project # 2024 USFO BIG DESERT FUEL BREAK MOWING
B. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho state office has a requirement to mechanically mow sagebrush, and other vegetation, to a height of no more than eight (8) inches within the 150-ft fuel break on either side of the designated roads. The mowing units total 2,266-ac along 66-mi of roads. Much of the 2,266-ac consists of sagebrush that has been previously treated out to 150-ft but needs maintenance to decrease the existing vegetation height. Segments of the Coffee Point/Apollo Well Road, Mosby Butte Road, and Cowley¿s Cutoff Road were impacted by fire in 2019. As a result, those areas have been excluded from the contract acres and will not be treated due to the lack of shrubs. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, tools, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, training, and incidentals necessary to perform mowing services in accordance with the specifications provided.

D. The period of performance for this project is April 1, 2024 ¿ May 15, 2024.
E. This acquisition is being solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 115310, size standard of $34.0 million.
F. The Government intends to award one Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for this project.
G. This solicitation is issued electronically. It is only available via the official beta.SAM.gov website. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package as no paper copies will be furnished. Potential offerors shall register at beta.SAM.gov in order to receive notifications and/or changes to solicitation.
