“The Commandant’s Own,” United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps (D&B) performs ceremonial events for audiences of prominence, civilian communities, Cabinet-level and Congressional guests, senior military officials, VIP’s, and Heads of State in order to foster a relationship with these audiences to build an appreciation of Marine Corps heritage, traditions, standards and the preservation of freedom. Ultimately, the high-profile appearance and impeccable visual presence of the D&B affects the morale of this country’s appreciated veterans and has a positive influence on potential young candidates to enlist in the United States Marine Corps (USMC).
As an MOS of less than 100 Marines with a highly unique skill set mastered prior to qualification and entrance into the Marine Corps, the D&B is responsible for locating, socializing, and recruiting its own to maintain the viability and livelihood of the organization. This contract is established to bring targeted recruitment opportunities for the D&B and Marine Corps music program.
- Vendor shall provide the unit use of the following language in its advertising and promotional materials: “Official Corporate Sponsor of Drum Corps International”
- Vendor shall provide the rights to use the Drum Corps International logo or the DCI World Championships logo in any of their promotional material or advertising. DCI also permits the USMC Drum & Bugle Corps usage of the DCI logo for industry standard/reasonable purposes.
- Vendor shall provide a Large Rectangle Ad (300x250) on DCI.org
- Vendor shall provide the requesting unit’s Logo on DCI.org at bottom of each page
- Vendor shall provide a direct link to Sponsor Website on DCI.org Partners page.
- Vendor shall provide DCI retweets, links, etc. via social media (to include, but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram) will be performed in conjunction with or as requested by the requesting unit.
- Vendor shall provide a minimum one featured video/photo post per month featuring the requesting unit across all DCI social media channels.
- Vendor shall provide recognition through PA Announcements at Indianapolis events – DCI will use a live or pre-recorded stadium announcement of the requesting unit and run a minimum of three (3) times during Indianapolis events with two (2) runs happening during the final six (6) drum corps performances
- Vendor shall provide the requesting unit a performance opportunity at the DCI World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium annually
- Vendor shall provide signage promoting the requesting unit during the annual DCI Event in Indianapolis, IN.
- Vendor shall provide a 4 ft x 8 ft special message banner displaying the requesting unit’s choice of messaging targeting performers in the Lucas Oil Stadium backstage area during the annual DCI Event in Indianapolis, IN.
- Vendor shall display sponsor signage during the week of DCI Championship Events in Indianapolis within the venue and in view of the audience. DCI will make reasonable efforts to place it between the 35-yard line markers oriented toward the viewing audience.
- Vendor shall provide ten (10) VIP credentials and eight (8) tickets per event for Sponsor personnel for the week of Drum Corps International World Championships.
- Vendor shall promote the requesting unit as the Presenting Sponsor of DCI’s 4th of July patriotic broadcast on YouTube and Facebook Live, which shall include featuring the requesting unit’s content throughout the broadcast and the title of Presenting Sponsor in all references to the event including promotional materials and campaigns.
The period of performance shall be for one (1) base year from award date with three (4) option periods from:

1 May 2025 - 30 April 2026
1 May 2026 - 30 April 2027
1 May 2027 - 30 April 2028
1 May 2028 - 30 April 2029

- Place of Performance:
All work shall be performed through digital means or at various DCI sanctioned events listed publicly on their schedule at https://www.dci.org/static/dci-schedule-ticketing-updates

- Security Requirements:
The selected vendor shall provide a point of contact (POC) to escort the D&B members while at any event. The POC shall work with the D&B Operations Chief or appointed representative to ensure the Marines have proper storage for their performance gear.

- Specifications:
The vendor is responsible for obtaining any and/or all required venues licenses and permits at no additional cost to the Requesting Unit/Government. The vendor shall comply with all applicable state and federal laws, codes, and regulations. At any time during the performance of the contract, the vendor shall be given seven (7) business days’ notice to produce required documentation. The requesting unit and the contracting office shall work with the selected vendor to determine all of the licenses and permits and determine a time frame to have all necessary documentation submitted and complete to allow for satisfactory contract execution.
