SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to perform airborne asbestos (clearance) sampling and update Asbestos Baseline Survey as required at the VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL. Contractor shall also be required to complete facility and hazardous air testing, including airborne mold sampling, at Danville, IL, and its VAIHCS Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Bloomington, IL, Decatur, IL, Mattoon, IL, Peoria, IL, and Springfield IL. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541620 -Environmental Consulting Services. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submissions of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. REQUIREMENTS: Provide airborne asbestos sampling as a third-party monitor during clearance sampling in areas where asbestos has been removed at the Danville facility only. Analysis will be performed using either Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) or Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) depending on the needs and specifications of VAIHCS, including Airborne Silica Analysis. Airborne mold sampling may be performed at the Danville facility or any of the CBOCs referenced above. Update baseline asbestos management survey for the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS) facility in Danville, IL. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, Web site address if applicable, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort and documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements.
