Little Rock AFB (LRAFB) is conducting market research to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements to conduct the preparation and repaint of the Heritage Park Flagpole and concrete base at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. The contractor shall perform full prep of the metal flag pole and the concrete base surrounding the pole. Prep includes sanding or sand blasting the pole to eliminate any rough areas or chipped areas. Concrete base area is 43 feet 6 inches in diameter, prep includes sealing or repairing any cracks in the concrete. Primer any exposed bare metal or concrete or chipped area so paint will adhere. Paint flagpole a gloss white and the truck at the top a golden color. Protect any exposed cables or pulleys from being over sprayed. Concrete base paint is red on the center 8 feet in diameter, white star on the next section our and blue field on the outside of the circle. Follow the existing layout pattern. Paint and primer used must the type to adhere to the material being painted (metal or concrete). SDS’s will be provided on all materials used in the process prior to start of the work. Clean up of the work area and disposal of all waste is the responsibility of the contractor. Equipment rental such as lifts, or painting equipment and all material used in the project are the responsibility of the contractor to provide. Contractor shall furnish and replace the protective halyard stoppers to protect the paint on the pole from chipping during high winds.
