Five (5) Meal Tray Delivery Carts & Delivery - Boise VA Medical Center - Boise, Idaho (VA Boise) Veteran Affairs
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method and any possible socio-economic set-aside.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide the following supply items:
- Title: Five (5) Meal Tray Delivery Carts
- Salient Characteristics:
Delivery Location: Boise VA Medical Center - Logistics, 500 West Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702-4501
Must Have:
- Tray delivery cart must have a sound dampening construction.
- Must have double door tray delivery cart with a stainless-steel modular construction.
- Must have (standard) 4-3/4" to 5-1/2” tray height spacing with 1 tray per shelf for a total capacity of 16 trays.
- Must come with heat release vented side panels to prevent moisture buildup on the inside.
- Must have standard corner or full-perimeter bumpers to protect the cart, contents, and obstacles from damage.
- Must have either gravity-locking or magnetic-closing insulated doors with noise suppression door stops.
- Must have Stainless steel hinges will allow a 270° door swing for easy tray access.
- Must come with an interchangeable rack system with adjustable sizing to accommodate for different tray sizes.
- The racks must have noise reduction features and are easily removeable for deep cleaning.
- The side panels of the cart must have a noise reduction channel to prevent vibration while the cart is in motion.
- Must have 6" casters must have noise suppression bearing covers, must be mounted in an offset pattern for smoother movement, must have a minimum of two brakes, and must withstand high water temperatures and rigorous washings.
- Must have recessed handles or bars on either end of the cart to protect hands while allowing the cart to be pushed or pulled.
- The vendor must clearly label & tag all boxes & crates with the Contract Number & Purchase Order (PO) Number.

Salient Characteristics have been included in this notice. The Government is accepting industry comment on the notice. Comments may or may not be incorporated, at the discretion of the Government.
