Notice for Site Visit: Temporary Aircraft Shelters Support at Grand Forks AFB, ND
The United States Air Force (USAF) is conducting a site visit for four temporary aircraft shelters to support the B-1 at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM CDT. This is an opportunity for industry partners to view the physical location prior to solicitation and provide final inputs on the draft Performance Work Statement. The site visit will provide industry partners with an opportunity to view the physical location and gain a better understanding of the requirements for the temporary aircraft shelters. The installation is expected to occur over the winter months, and the Government's need date for the aircraft shelters is 31 January 2025.
The physical site conditions include a non-reinforced 19.5" concrete ramp. Additionally, Grand Forks AFB, ND has a winter construction exclusion period of November 15th through April 15th annually. This information is important for contractors to consider when preparing their proposals and planning for the installation.
Please note that this site visit is at the expense of the contractor and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Contractors interested in attending the site visit are required to contact Ms. Samantha Hough via email at samantha.hough.2@us.af.mil no later than 3:00 PM MDT on July 17, 2024, to request installation access. In order to process the access request, contractors must provide their driver's license and state of issue, full social security number (SSN), date of birth (DOB), and country of citizenship. This information is necessary to ensure the security of the installation and to comply with federal regulations.
