The West Haven VA Connecticut Healthcare System has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed contract replacing the Boiler Plant Pressure Reducing Stations #1 and #2 Replacement, project 689-24-130 as they are aged, in failed condition and a present safety hazard. The contractor shall provide all labor, shop drawings, materials, and equipment to replace the pressure reducing valves, shut off valves, strainers, safeties, steam traps, and other associated steam and condensate components contained within the 2-steam pressure reducing stations located within the Boiler Plant. Contractor shall prefabricate all piping including steam traps assembly offsite, perform radiographic examination of 100 percent of the welds and pressure test before piping to the site for assembly. The Contractor shall provide professional services to include all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to in accordance with the scope of work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 and the small business size standard is $19 Million. There have been repeated issues with calibration and adjustment of the steam PRV stations and have safety deficiencies due to age and operating conditions. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice to determine if there are qualified SDVOSB and VOSB that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. Evidence of successful previous experience with utilities including HVAC and boiler plant Insulation, Boiler Plant Piping Systems, Advanced Utility Systems, Planting and Commissioning of Site Utility Systems. Provide one project showing your experience where you conducted construction work in a hospital or patient care setting. Verification through VetBiz on the Vendor Information pages (VIP) as a SDVOSB or VOSB under the VAICS code 238220. Prime shall provide proof of insurance for a construction project of this magnitude.
