NOTICE OF INTENT to Sole Source Requirement for replacement dredge parts to fit an Ellicott 860SL Imperial Dredge.

The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin, Acquisition and Assistance Management Office (AMMO), intends to negotiate and award a contract as a non-competitive, to Ellicott Dredge LLC, 1611 Bush Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230.
The Yuma Area Office (YAO) has a requirement for replacement dredge parts to fit an Ellicott 860SL Imperial Dredge.
The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authorities of FAR 13 and 6.302-C.
Ellicott Dredge LLC manufactures dredges based on a customer's design requirement. The parts that make up the entire dredge are originally procured by Ellicott from various manufacturers. These parts are then modified/re-manufactured by Ellicott to meet the specialized custom design requirements. Once these parts are modified/re-manufactured, they are now considered specialized parts that are only available from Ellicott.
The NAICS for this action 333120 entitled "Construction Machinery Manufacturing", which has a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
This acquisition will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
This is a Notice of Intent only and not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, explanation, and evidence as to how your company will provide the required Ellicott manufactured parts, which shall be considered by the agency.
