SUBJECT
Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that either (1) possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to manufacture this aircraft landing light, or (2) currently have available stock of this asset in new surplus (NS) condition.
ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Aircraft Landing Light (NSN: 6620-00-075-1989; P/N G8385-1) is a component of the United States Air Force TH-1H helicopter, which is the initial training platform for all rotary wing pilots. This part is specifically designed to be installed on aircraft. Its function is to project intense light that is sufficient to illuminate a landing area, which facilitates landing operations during periods of darkness.
IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION
There is currently no impediment to competition.
INTEREST
The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to compete this solicitation amongst the open commercial market and will consider each candidate based on technical qualifications, price, and delivery schedule. All interested parties may identify themselves, their interest, and their qualifying capabilities by responding to this requirement no later than 30 Jun 24 via email to the following government representatives: Micah Tapp (micah.tapp.2@us.af.mil) and/or Terrence Wideman (terrence.wideman.2@us.af.mil). The Government intends to fulfill this supply purchase using Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR Subpart 6.1.
