POURED CONCRETE SLAB FOR A STORAGE BUILDING AT LOCK and DAM 6, TREMPALEAU, WI
C-1. GENERAL.
C-1.1. Scope of Work. Lock and Dam 6 is constructing an additional storage building at its site in Trempealeau, WI. Lock is requesting a contract for a poured slab of concrete.
C-1.2. Payment. Payment will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. The contractor must submit a detailed invoice to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
C-1.3. Description and Location. Lock and Dam 6 is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers managed facility along the Mississippi River in Trempealeau, WI. The building site will be behind the main central control building in the fenced in area. The address is W24055 Lock and Dam Rd, Trempealeau, WI 54661.
C-1.4. Site Visit. Contractors are highly encouraged to visit the site prior to bidding. To schedule a site visit contact;

C-2 SPECIFICATIONS
C-2.1. Site Prep: Prior to work commencing USACE employees will remove the existing sidewalk abutting the site. The Contractor shall remove existing soil and install a minimum of 8 inches of compacted crushed concrete base under the slab. There is an onsite area to dispose of the existing soil. This gravel pad shall be adequate for the 20’ by 36’ storage building. The site staff will stake out the location of the 20’ by 36’.
C-2.2. Concrete Slab: The Contractor shall pour a 20’x36’ 6-inch-thick Monolithic concrete floating slab using 4000 PSI concrete with a 16-inch wide by 12-inch-deep footing, and a 6” x 6” curb. The slab shall have a reinforced ½ inch rebar grid installed 2 feet on centers with 2 runs of ½ inch rebar centered in the footing. The rebar grid shall be centered in the 6-inch-thick slab.
C-2.8. Work Area: Working hours are from 0700 – 1530 Mon thru Fri. Delivery to Lock and Dam 6, W24055 Lock and Dam Rd, Trempealeau, WI. Between July 15th and Aug 16th 2024.
The Contractor is responsible for leaving the work area in the same condition as before the start of contract work. Any damages shall be repaired at the contractor’s expense. All construction debris shall be removed and disposed of off-site in accordance with local and state regulations.
