This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation for this requirement exists at this time. All businesses, regardless of size; capable of providing these services are invited to respond to this announcement and submit a capability statement for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine a firm's previous experience performing similar work. The capability statements will also be reviewed and used to determine an appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited.
Proposed Project:
The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (YAO), has a requirement to Purchase Pressure Vessels for the Yuma Desalting Plant.
8-inch End-port Pressure Vessels
a. Sized for seven (7) standard 8x40-inch elements
b. Rated to at least 600 psi operating pressure
c. 1.5-inch NPS feed & concentrate ports, CF3M (ASTM A351), 316 (ASTM A312) or 316L (ASTM A312) stainless steel, IPS grooved connection NOTE: Plastic/Noryl or threaded connections are NOT acceptable.
d. 1.25-inch NPS Permeate port on feed end, CF3M (ASTM A351), 316 (ASTM A312) or 316L (ASTM A312) Stainless steel, IPS grooved connection NOTE: Plastic/Noryl or threaded connections are NOT acceptable.
e. 1-inch Permeate port on concentrate end, Noryl, FNPT connection
f. Membrane element adapters shall be compatible with standard 8" x 40" membrane elements.
g. Fiberglass shell with white, high gloss exterior
h. Designed for use with brackish feed water (3,500 TDS) and resistant to 1-ppm of continuous free chlorine exposure
i. Max operating temperature 120°F, Min operating temperature 32°F
j. Saddles and straps required, 3 per vessel
k. Include all seals, gaskets, O-rings, retaining rings, thrust rings/cones, nuts, bolts, and miscellaneous items.
l. Minimum 1-year warranty.
m. ASME Section X Code stamped
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339999, All Other Miscellaneous Manufacturing with a corresponding small business size standard of 550 employees.

6. Capability Statement (not to exceed 5 pages). A brief summary if the product is American made, if not where the product is manufactured, what is the lead time, any known or foreseeable issues with manufacturing these types of items. Previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity to include references with point of contact information. Firm shall provide the project title, location, and detailed description of the efforts and how it was similar, the project dollar value, contract award number, completion date, and the customer's name, phone number and email address.
