ANNOUNCEMENT.
As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible Request for Proposal (RFP), to be issued at a later date, and in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this acquisition or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal RFP process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice.
Hill Air Force Base Utah is conducting market research of industry to identify potential firms, with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform services required for a firm fixed-price award in accordance with the information provided below:
- The Contractor shall provide engineering support for the 309 Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ in accordance with the attached PWS and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) 0001 through 0008.
- Contractor shall have the capability of providing facilities engineering (as described within the attached PWS) services that include condition assessment and generation of preventive maintenance requirements for industrial facilities.
- Contractor shall have the capability of providing engineering (as described within the attached PWS) expertise required to optimize industrial processes and recommend improvements and technology insertion opportunities.
- Contractor should have the capability of providing industrial engineering (as described within the attached PWS) support that includes the research, analysis, and documentation, of industrial processes culminating in the drafting of detailed process instructions of “process order” in the Air Force environment.
2. Support includes, but is not limited to aerospace storage and preservation, aircraft parts reclamation, aircraft regeneration, depot-level maintenance overflow, and aircraft disposal. The Contractor shall provide engineering professionals with detailed knowledge of process and facility engineering standards, concepts, and practices to assist the Government with identifying, defining, validating, and implementing processes for technical requirements.
This is expected to be a three (3) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quality (IDIQ) contract with one (1) base year and two (2) option years.
