1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the procedures contained in FAR Part 12.6, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
2) The solicitation number is 12905B24Q0149 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).
3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2024-05.
4) This solicitation is issued as UNRESTRICTED. The associated NAICS code is 334516 the small business size standard is 1,000 EMPLOYEES

6) Description/Statement of Work/Specification:
a) Provide a Brand Name or Equal HPLC Detector to the existing system:
i) DAWN Neon Ambient to replace existing Wyatt Heleos detector. The DAWN Neon Ambient is a seventh-generation multi-angle light scattering instrument for the characterization of macromolecules and nanoparticles.
ii) Visco-Star is a new addition to the system and is a capillary-bridge differential viscometer for determining size and conformation of macromolecules in solution by HPLC/GPC analysis of viscosity.
iii) ASTRA 8 software is required for the DAWN Neon Ambient upgrade and is used for characterization of macromolecules and nanoparticles by multi-angle light scattering, refractometry, viscometry, and batch light scattering.
iv) HPLC CONNECT software required for integration and synchronization of the existing Agilent HPLC system and ASTRA software.
v) Technical support for 2 years with extended warranty.
vi) Three days of vendor location training.
vii) On-site installation and familiarization of equipment by Wyatt for two days.
