The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. VA Tucson Healthcare System, 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 has a requirement to purchase brand name Shockwave Medical, Inc s Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) Generator and Connector Cable Kit. This will be a brand name requirement, as the VA Tucson facility is currently using same brand of IVL Catheters, which are meant to coincide with the required IVL Generators and Connector cables. The purpose of this equipment is to exchange data during patient treatment which will allow for delivering lithotripsy, balloon dilatation of calcified, stenotic arteries. This equipment will aid in supporting the facilities Cardiology transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) system. Any equipment different would require additional costs and standardization. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined.
