The Department of Veterans Affairs NCO 15 Contracting Office and Kansas City, VA Medical Center 4801 Linwood Blvd Kansas City, MO. 64128, seeks capabilities information on interested vendors to provide AE Services for design completion regarding Project 589-24-451 Construct Veterans Child Care Assistance Program which will renovate approximately 980sf of existing space to construct a drop-in Child Care Center. This A-E Services requirement is being procured in accordance with the Brooks Act (Public Law (PL0582) and implemented in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 36. Firms will be selected based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work. This procurement is restricted to eligible Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. This requirement is being procured in accordance with the VAAR 836.606-73 as implemented in FAR Subpart 36.6. The responding interested offerors are requested to provide procurement capabilities from licensed professional architects and engineers currently registered in the state of Missouri or in a state of which Missouri has recognized the engineering license. The specific disciplines which will be evaluated are Architects, Civil Engineer, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Industrial Hygienists, Estimators, CAD operators, Project Managers, Fire Protection Engineer, and Interior Designer. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541310 Architectural Services and small business size standard of $12.5M. PSC: C211 Magnitude of Construction Project between $4000,000 and $900,000. Project Intent: A/E Firm shall provide all necessary design services and construction period services for subject project. The project will consist of a children s play area, child safe restroom, vestibule for controlled entry, mothers room, and administrative space. A/E generated Program for Design shall be in accordance with the VA Drop-In Child Care Design Standard for VA Kids Care and vetted with users. This project will also ensure the space is compliant with the latest physical security and utility standards. The consultant shall provide all necessary architectural and engineering services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction for " Construct Veterans Child Care Assistance Program . This project will completely renovate the ward to meet VA standards. Work includes professional design services of Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Plumbing Engineers. Design includes, but not limited to, demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, industrial hygiene, and fire protection.
