The FLETC maintains Schneider/APC uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units to maintain and manage power, and APC cooling units to maintain temperature and humidity in dial central office (DCO) to protect critical enterprise systems at each FLETC location. To ensure system availability and integrity, FLETC requires a APC compatable UPS’ prevents downtime of these critical telecommunications components and systems by providing short-time power between commercial power interruption and secondary power start time. As these systems help ensure the required high availability of telecommunications systems and resources, the FLETC maintains maintenance support contracts for all APC equipment in the dial central office.
The Schneider/APC uninterruptible power supply provide continuous power to network equipment in the event of loss of commercial power. The Contractor shall provide all hardware, software, licensing, installation, configuration, maintenance and shipping to destinations as necessary to meet the requirements described in Task 1 – 4.
The contractor must be an APC Authorized Service Provider with access to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) diagnostics tools. The contractor must diagnose and repair equipment to OEM standards and specifications. The Contractor shall install, maintain, diagnose and repair equipment to OEM standards and specifications using OEM approved equipment, parts and tools. The Contractor shall perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance following OEM standards.
All OEM technical installation, support and replacement parts shall be provided by the Contractor and conducted with the use of contractor supplied labor, tools and/or equipment necessary to complete the job satisfactorily at no additional costs. No travel costs for visits by the Contractor to any FLETC site will be paid under this contract.
