The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Office of Law Enforcement and Security, as a part of the BLM- Utah State Office intends to award a firm fixed price sole-source purchase order for law enforcement dispatch services on an as needed basis to assist BLM Rangers and Agents in the administration and regulation of the use and occupancy of public lands throughout Utah. This service will be procured through the Utah Department of Public Safety, an agency of the government of the State of Utah. It is in the government¿s best interest to work with the Utah Department of Public Safety Dispatch (DPS) system due to their unique ability to provide dispatch services throughout the State of Utah. No other dispatch center in the state has this ability. Utah Highway Patrol, Division of Wildlife Resources and Utah State Parks all utilize this system. DPS is the only agency within Utah that independently maintains radio repeater sites across the state, with the ability to provide radio coverage statewide. Having routine access to this radio infrastructure increases BLM officer safety in the field and ensures that requests for officer assistance and backup are immediately heard. This leads to shorter response times in the event of an emergency or officer distress call. The requirement will be for a base year and four (4) option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561421, Telephone Answering Services, with a size standard of $19M.
