This Request for Information (RFI) is intended for information and planning purposes only at this time; and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Since this is Request for Information announcement, no evaluation letters and or results will be issued to respondents. No solicitation exits. Therefore, do no request a copy of the solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), is seeking information and potential qualified/verified Small Businesses capable of meeting requirement and salient characteristics below to provide VA Wilmington Medical Center with one sterile drying cabinet to meet the facility requirements below: Sterile Processing Service(SPS) Sterile Drying Cabinet for VA Wilmington Medical Center Introduction/Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilmington, DE has determined a need for a sterile drying cabinet that will assist with drying various medical instruments/equipment. The Sterilization Processing Service (SPS) Department located at Wilmington VA Medical Center cleans and sterilizes instruments for Gastrointestinal (GI), Genitourinary (GU), and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Dental, Orthopedic, and other instruments/equipment used in surgery. SPS requires additional equipment to assist with drying sterilized equipment and or instruments. Air or hand drying these items can be very time-consuming, inconvenient, and ultimately ineffective. A drying cabinet utilities fast drying air and a pass-through design which aids in the transfer between dirty and clean areas without manual intervention. Scope: The vendor shall provide all items necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this state of need (SON). The contractor shall provide one (1) Sterile Drying Cabinet and included accessories which meets the specifications in the requirements below that are required to support SPS. Requirement: Natus Olympic Sterile-Dryer M43 Sterile Drier RD or Equivalent Description: Sterile Cabinet that assists with drying and storing clinical instruments. Cabinet should provide a safe storage environment that protects against humidity/moisture. Salient Characteristics: Overall Dimensions = No more than 36 wide x 24 deep x 86 high Fast Drying See-through Doors HEPA filtered Rust-proof Material (interior and exterior); preferably aluminum Six 18 x9 half-size trays Three 18 x18 full-size trays Coated trays to prevent sticking Delivery: Delivery shall be coordinated with the POC and or facility within 60 days after receipt of contract/order. Deliver equipment to: Wilmington VA Medical Center (Attn: T. Hill) 1601 Kirkwood Hwy Wilmington, DE 19805-4917 Upon delivery, the contractor/vendor agrees to work with facility personnel to: Register device warranty if required. Provide user training/in-service if needed. Installation The Government and the Contractor understand and agree that the services to be delivered under this contract by the Contractor to the Government are non-personal services and the parties recognize and agree that no employer-employee or master-servant relationships exist or will exist under the contract between the Government and the Contractor s employees. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responses to this RFI should include company name, address, point of contact, phone number, and point of contact e-mail, UEI Number, Cage Code, size of business pursuant to North American Industry Classification code (NAICS) 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 800 employees. Please provide estimated detailed percentage breakdowns related to sub contracted work and completion of job. (7) General pricing of your products/solution is encouraged. Pricing will be used for the purpose of market research only. It will not be used to evaluate for any type of award. (8) Please submit your capabilities in regard to the salient characteristics detailed above and any information pertaining to equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes? (9) Please review salient characteristics/statement of work (if applicable) and provide feedback or suggestions.
