Request for Information (RFI): Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Anesthesia Units National Equipment Catalog The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is conducting a market survey and is seeking information pertaining to anesthesia units for the potential inclusion into the National Equipment Catalog for acquisition at a national level. VHA is seeking information for anesthesia units capable of delivering anesthetic agents, ventilating the patient, and monitoring ventilation variables (including possibly gas and physiologic variables). This RFI does not pertain to separate analyzers designed to measure concentrations of halogenated anesthetics and gases supplied to the unit or to detect levels present in the operating room nor does it include separate stand-alone physiologic monitoring systems. The purpose of this RFI is to gain market perspective and industry information in the acquisition of anesthesia units for VHA facilities for VA medical centers nation-wide. Please see ATTACHMENT A for the DRAFT Minimum Technical Requirements which defines product description requirements and salient characteristics. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The Product Service Code is 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for quotes and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government.
