INTRODUCTION:
The Contracting office for the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) for Maine is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for Laundry Service for the 240th Regiment, Regional Training Institute (RTI) in Bangor Maine. The RTI operates a 99-bed hotel quality style barracks, which requires clean linen service in support of the units of the Maine Army National Guard (MEARNG) See the enclosed “Draft” Performance Work Statement (PWS). All workmanship shall be in accordance with practices/guidelines established by industry standards.

The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 812320 – Drycleaning and Laundry Service with a Small Business Size Standard of $ 8 Million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is S209 – Housekeeping – Laundry/Drycleaning. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: 240th Regional Training Institute (RTI), 289 Hildreth Street, Building 700, Bangor, Maine 04401.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The estimate period of performance consists of base year plus two option periods, with the performance commencing in January 2025. Specifics regarding the number of option periods will be provided in the solicitation. The contract type is anticipated to be is a firm-fixed price purchase order.
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR The proposed contract is anticipated to include tasking that would be accomplished by labor categories that are subject to the Service Contract Act or a collective bargaining agreement.
