The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD), Microbial Pathogenesis and Immune Response Laboratory (MPIR), hereby announces its intent to award and issue a sole source order/contract, firm-fixed price purchase order to Hamilton Company, 4970 Energy Way, Reno, Nevada, 89502-4123.
Hamilton Company is the only vendor who can provide the preventive maintenance and service on the Hamilton robotics instrumentation. Hamilton Company Premium Plus Service Plan includes priority dispatch for MPIR laboratory, a target response time of 24 hours for down instrumentation, a guaranteed response time of 48 hours for down instrumentation, a guaranteed call back time of 4 hours, service parts, travel and labor. If the robotic instrumentation is down, only Hamilton factory trained and authorized service representatives service and/ or work on the robotic instrumentation.
This contract action is for a service which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Interested vendors that believe they can meet these requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice by providing a capability statement to the Contracting Specialist by August 16, 2024. The Contracting Specialist will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing.
This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
