The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Reclaim & Pave Recreation Area, Townshend Lake, Townshend, VT.
THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the following reclamation, asphalt paving, and curb installation work:
a. Reclaim existing asphalt pavement within the Townshend Lake Recreation Area entrance and access road.
- The entrance area of the Townshend Lake Recreation Area includes two entrance/exit roads, each measuring approximately one hundred (100) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide, converging into a single road approximately two hundred (200) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide. There is a small parking area adjacent to the entrance gate measuring approximately sixty-five (65) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide.
- The access road measures approximately eighteen hundred (1,800) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide.
b. Provide and install hot mix bituminous concrete pavement on Townshend Lake Recreation Area entrance and access road.
- The entrance area of the Townshend Lake Recreation Area includes two entrance/exit roads, measuring approximately one hundred (100) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide, converging into a single road approximately two hundred (200) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide. There is a small parking area adjacent to the entrance gate measuring approximately sixty-five (65) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide.
- The completed access road section between the entrance gate and boat launch area will measure approximately eighteen hundred (1,800) feet long and twenty-two (22) feet wide.
- One hundred (100) linear feet of raised curb, six (6) inches in height and twelve (12) inches in width, will be installed along the toe section of the access road, adjacent to the drainage ditch. The stretch of curb will be centered on the toe of the road, with half extending up the slope of the road, and the other half continuing on the leveled section of road. The ends of the curb will be sloped to provide a gradual increase in height to and from the surface of the road. The slope of the curb will be at a 1:1 ratio.
c. Place excess reclaimed material along the shoulders of the road and edges of the parking area to match the finish elevation of the new bituminous concrete pavement and compact. If there is insufficient reclaimed base course material to grade the subbase to the appropriate elevations, gravel base material shall be used.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 237310 with a Small Business Size Standard of $45 Million.
