The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD), hereby announces its intent to award and issue a sole source order/contract, firm-fixed price purchase order to Remel Inc., 12150 Santa Fe Trail Drive, Lenexa, KS, 66215-3519.
Remel Incorporated is the only vendor who can provide the preventive maintenance and service on the Thermo Scientific™ Sensititre AIM™ instrumentation. The Remel Incorporated Service Agreement includes access to the Technical Service Hotline 24/7, excluding Thermo Fisher Scientific Holidays, Target FSE on-site response for corrective maintenance: ≤2 business days, Annual Preventative Maintenance Service, including PM parts/supplies, Software/Firmware upgrades including labor, travel, and parts, Corrective Maintenance Services, including travel and parts, Access to loaner instruments, if needed (dependent on loaner availability), and Applications Support: one Applications visit per contract year, up to three consecutive 8-hour business days on site
This contract action is for a service which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. Interested vendors that believe they can meet these requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice by providing a capability statement to the Contracting Specialist by August 22, 2024. The Contracting Specialist will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing.
This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
