1. The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (27 SOCONS) at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico is publicizing this SOURCES SOUGHT notice gathering industry information with respect to maintenance, repair, and inspection of Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico (CAFB).
2. No solicitation is being issued currently. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered proposals, nor will any award be made because of this SOURCES SOUGHT. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Any future solicitation, including specifications and/or Performance Work Statement will be made available on the Contract Opportunities website (https://beta.sam.gov). Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the website for release of a solicitation package and/or any updates and/or amendments.
3. The Government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested businesses capable of performing the work described below:
a. The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to maintain, repair (as needed) and inspect (monthly and annually) the Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) at CAFB in accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. The contractor shall ensure continuous and safe operation of thirty-eight (38) VTEs (which may include wheelchair/stair lifts) of various makes and models. The VTEs are of various capacities and heights. The contractor shall prepare and provide annual reports for the inspections and certifications for the thirty-eight (38) VTEs. Emergency Repair service response shall be within 24 hours.
4. This contract is considered mission essential. Special qualifications of the contractor shall include licensing by the state of New Mexico. Contractor personnel shall be certified by appropriate federal and state regulatory agencies to meet federal and local certification requirements for maintenance of VTEs in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineeers (ASME).
5. The following NAICS Code applies to this SOURCES SOUGHT: 238290 - Other building Equipment Contractors. The size standard for this NAICS code is $22M.
