Install Fiber Optic cabling from Hangar 3 (Bldg. 10571) Communication Room to MCLIPS shelters. This effort is to install 24 strands of fiber optic cabling from the first floor comm room (Room 102B) to the interior of the MCLIPS Shelters. Engineer, Furnish, Install, and Test (EFI&T) 24 strand single mode fiber optic communication cable from first floor comm room (Room 102b) to MCLIPS shelters on north side of Hangar 3.
Contractor must provide and terminate approximately 300 ft of fiber into a 24-port small form factor fiber patch panel in hangar 3 comm room 102b. The distant end of the fiber will be terminated in a 24-port small form factor patch panel in the MCLIPS shelter. All Connectors will be LC format. Materials, installation, and testing will comply with industry standards outlined in OSP JBER Telecom Standards and JBER Telecom Criteria (attached). Exterior fiber needs to be installed within a rigid metal conduit approximately 250ft and must be firmly affixed to the exterior of Hangar 3 and the exterior of the MCLIP shelter.
