Its components are easily disinfected and sterilized to prevent cross contamination. It features fingertip controls of focus, zoom, and positioning on each side of the microscope. It is utilized in procedures that involve small structures or areas, such as cochlear implants, removing tumors at the skull base, and larynx carcinoma surgery. Surgical microscopes have an extraordinary image quality, high resolution, non-distorting illuminations, and color fidelity delivered by the brilliant, totally apochromatic optics. The internal focus mechanism known as the Varioscope allows the surgeon to focus up or down the focal plane without changing lenses. The zoom system provides an excellent field of view and magnification.
