The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – St. Paul District is seeking sources and information regarding the acquisition of a towing vessel to be used on the Upper Mississippi River.
The St. Paul District recently discovered that one of its towing vessels cannot be economically returned to service. The District is interested in procuring a vessel of similar size and power – either purchasing a used vessel, or renting a vessel (to be operated by Government personnel) through the end of the 2024 calendar year. The St. Paul District is looking to acquire this vessel as soon as possible.
The vessel being replaced is:
- Length: 64’ – 10”
- Width: 23’ – 0”
- Power: Two (2) Caterpillar 3412 Diesel Engines (combined output 850 HP)
- Age: 54 years
If your firm is able to provide a suitable vessel, please send a written statement by e-mail to John Riederer, Contract Specialist at John.P.Riederer@usace.army.mil (please copy Kenneth Eshom – Kenneth.J.Eshom@usace.army.mil ) no later than 4:00 PM (CDT) on Friday, August 23, 2024.
Please see the attached Sources Sought notice for the specific information being sought.
