DeBakey is one of the nation s largest systems of VA hospitals and clinics within an area plagued by Natural Disasters. MEDVAMC is in the Houston area home to 100,000 plus Veterans in an area and CBOC s. PURPOSE: To enhance medical mobile capabilities for lifting and removing supplies and equipment from tractor-trailers, as well as for having the capability to deliver heavy pallets to our six floors. This equipment will be used during steady state and response to support the medical center to ensure optimal performance and safety. REQUIREMENTS: The equipment should be of the latest model complying with the respective international quality standards. The equipment/system should be complete in all aspects of its operations as per the mentioned specifications. The equipment must comply with the Buy American Certification FAR 52.225-2. The Contractor shall provide 4 each Walkie Pallet Trucks with a maintenance-free battery. The Contractor shall produce and fully comply with the VA patient safety standards.
