The Contractor shall furnish off-site clinical space which includes all necessary supporting staff including surgical technicians, anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), nurses and administrative personnel necessary to provide Ophthalmology Surgery Services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ralph H. Johnson VA Health Care System (hereinafter referred to as VAHCS). The Ralph H. Johnson VAHCS will provide the Ophthalmology physicians and Ophthalmology Residents that will cover the range of Ophthalmological surgical services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
All services shall be performed at the Contractor’s facility. Contractor’s facility must be within a five mile radius of The Ralph H. Johnson VAHCS. Contractor shall provide off-site clinical space which will include materials, supplies, implants equipment and qualified supervision specified herein. Contractor must be accredited with Joint Commission and have deemed CMS Status.
