The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. VA Long Beach Healthcare System, 5901 East 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822 is looking to purchase Duplex Antibiotic Supply IV bags equivalent to the items listed below. Purchased IV bags are needed for treating different bacterial infections and must be readily available for patient care. This procurement shall be a brand name or equal. Contractors must provide brand name or equal that meet or exceed the physical, functional, and performance of listed in the statement of work below. Contractors shall show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that all equal to items meet all required salient characteristics including brand name and model numbers IAW FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. Background The VA Long Beach Healthcare System has a requirement for Duplex ready-to-use dual-chamber IV bags for the VA Long Beach HCS pharmacy. 3. Period of Performance. 3.1 Delivery shall be made within the delivery window 10/01/2024-09/30/2025. 3.2 Medications shall not be delivered until ordered by VA Long Beach Pharmacy in the quantities specified in each order. 3.3 Vendor must notify VA Long Beach Pharmacy staff if there are any delays in shipment or procuring any order. 3.4 The vendor must notify VA Long Beach Pharmacy staff of any anticipated or expected supply issues or shortages of the specified medications as well as an estimated time of when medications will be available. 3.5 Vendor must be able to ensure and provide documentation that medications are handled appropriately per the manufacturer s specifications (i.e. maintained within 20°C - 25°C during storage and transportation). 3.6 Vendor must be able to replace any product that is identified as damaged or defective upon receiving. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325415 (1,300 Employees).
