The National Park Service, Southwest Alaska Inventory and Monitoring Network (SWAN), is requesting quotes for power analyses of multiple vegetation monitoring datasets. Since 2009, SWAN has collected vegetation composition and structure at permanent plots (n=162) in Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks on a 5-year revisit cycle. These data include point intercept, nested quadrat frequency, and tree data. SWAN seeks to ensure that data collection is sufficient to detect changes in vegetation composition and structure and understand how we can streamline sampling to increase efficiency and safety of data collection.
