The work required for this contracitng action includes completing a syntactic fill, final machining, paint and preservation for each Bearing Support Structure (BSS). The syntactic fill involves pumping a composite material into a formed cavity within the BSS Inseparable assembly. Final machining entails additional drilling of through holes in the inseparable assembly as well as brining all surfaces to final dimensions. Paint and preservation tasking is completed to the approved propulsor paint specifications. The BSS Finishing work must be completed on the BSS Assembly within 6 months of the delivered BSS Inseparable Assembly. To perform this work a contractor must be possess the NAVSEA qualifications as stated within the Statement of Work.
Interested vendors shall submit a capability statement that reflects their ability to perform all tasking within the Statement of Work, for any work being subcontracted the vendor shall provide evidence of an existing business relation or letter of intent from the subcontractor to participate in this requirement.
