Scope Of Work - The Nutritionist will serve as consultant and subject area expert
for the NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP). The incumbent will serve as advisor to
the NIH Animal Program Director¿s Feed and Bedding Subcommittee which establishes
surveillance parameters, contract requirements, and program dynamics within the
allocated budget, for the oversight of research animal feed and bedding used throughout
the IRP. The incumbent will provide subject matter expert guidance to improve NIH
nutrition program and provide consultation services to specific research studies when
requested by investigators. Interpret feed and bedding analysis reports and provide
guidance on steps to take to refine standardized diet requirements. The minimum service
requirement will be 48 hours/year and the maximum hours per year is 118 hours.
Specialized consultation is billed at the same rate to the specific customer and is not
factored into the minimum or maximum hours.
