The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Emergency/Non-emergency Ambulance Services for inmates at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, KY. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621910 (Size Standard: $22.5 million). Most services are expected to occur but are not limited to the following Kentucky counties: Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Jessamine, Madison, Scott and Woodford. Most services will have either their origination or destination as the Federal Medical Center and/or Satellite Camp Prison, 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky, 40511. The contractor will agree to transport inmates to the destination requested by FMC regardless if another hospital is a shorter distance from the FMC. The Contractor must be available for emergency ambulance and/or routine ambulance transport services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including Federal holidays. For emergent transport, the Contractor must be on-site at the FMC Lexington within 15 minutes of request. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The contractor shall comply with any and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards. A government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market Research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, the government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the government.
