Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing the following in support of the United States Naval Academy.
1.0 BACKROUND
Every year the U.S. Naval Academy Division of Water Front Readiness is required to perform a Required Regular Over Haul on three of the eighteen Yard Patrol Crafts in our fleet in accordance with OPNAVINST 4780.6F guidelines for Regular Overhaul (ROH). An availability for the accomplishment of general repairs and alterations at a naval shipyard, private shipyard, or other shore-based repair activity, normally scheduled in advance with an established cycle. Upon current inspections that were conducted all of the Yard Patrol Crafts current anchors have been deemed unsafe for sea trails have been identified to have a lot of scale and layers of rust which will degrade the status of the boats. As such, new anchors are needed.
