631-23-016 Abate Asbestos Renovation 2024 Site Visit Questions and Answers Q1: Does the VA have a certain sequence for the rooms or are we able to schedule rooms in an order which is most efficient? A1: There is no ordered sequence, however, the VA to have 35 calendar days notice prior to start detailing specific room start dates and finishes. Coordinate with COR. Room 2109 MUST be completely abated during off hours, and over a weekend. Starting FRIDAY 1630 MONDAY 0630. All areas are to be abated off hours. Re-finishing can occur during business hours. Sequencing of room abatement and refinish to be kept to absolute minimum in order for VA to return these spaces to use. Q2: Will the VAIH be able to get TEM results within <12 hours to allow an area to be abated one night and the containment removed the next? A2: Typical wait time for TEM results is 24hrs. This will depend on time of day delivered to lab and day of week. VA not planning on expediting TEMs. Q3: Is the CPIH required to be onsite during the VAIHs clearance collection and during containment removal activities? However, VA to have 35 calendar days notice prior to start detailing specific room start dates and finishes. Coordinate with COR. Q5: At B12 Room 7, the door will need to remain open while awaiting the TEM results. Do you require plywood to be secured within the opening for security purposes? Window unit will need to be removed (or moved) potentially so GC to include.
