The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Region 8 is conducting market research and is seeking competent and qualified construction firms to provide Design-Bid-Build (DBB) services for the replacement windows at the Sioux Falls Federal Courthouse in Sioux Falls, SD. This project will replace window units while incorporating Low Embodied Carbon (LEC) fixed glazing. Window glazing shall meet the requirements for low embodied carbon as defined in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2023 and the U.S. General services Administration Inflation Reduction Act Low Embodied Carbon Glass Requirements, Dated December 12, 2023.
This project is funded by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Low-embodied carbon material requirements are governed by the funding law and can be found here: https://www.gsa.gov/real-estate/gsa-properties/inflation-reduction-act/lec-program-details/material-requirements
* The glazing of the glass under this project must meet the Low Embodied Carbon as defined by the IRA. GSA intends to provide potential contractors with necessary information towards meeting the IRA requirements within the solicitaiton, and will hold a pre-proposal session to provide answers to any questions interested firms may have on the IRA unique aspects of this project.
GSA is seeking highly qualified firms with experience with window replacement. See the capability Statement section in the attached "Sources Souce+Sioux Falls Window Replacement_IRA+DBB" more information regarding the requirement and submissions if interested.
The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
