The 673d Contracting Squadron issues this Sources Sought Notice on behalf of the 773d Civil Engineering Squadron (773 CES), to determine if there are existing small business sources capable of providing inspection and cleaning of dryer ventilation exhaust systems. This service is required to prevent and mitigate fire safety issues in lodging, temporary lodging, and dormitory facilities. Failure to perform inspections and cleanings can result in shutdown of the facilities for violations of fire and safety regulations, which would have a detrimental effect on the Installation’s mission. The Contractor shall perform recurring inspections and cleaning of all dryer ventilation exhaust systems listed in Appendix A of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) in accordance with (IAW) manufacturer's recommendations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 211, AFI 91-203, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) codes, and all applicable local, state, and federal fire and safety codes. Delivery schedule is determined by usage, regulations, and commercial practices. Dryer vents are to be serviced semi-annually and annually. The current workload estimate is 719 dryer vents to be cleaned and serviced.
