This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals or quotations. This SSN is for U.S. Government planning purposes only and constitutes requests for exchange of information pursuant to FAR Part 10.
REQUIREMENT: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) is currently seeking sources capable of providing full overhaul and repair services on the MTU 6V92 engines. All interested sources must be able to provide the following:

On-site certified MTU technicians experienced with 6V92 Overhaul and Repair Services

Dynamometer Testing

All mandatory and contingency parts required for a full overhaul and any repair services

Repair or rebuild those mandatory and/or contingency parts that are no longer available for purchase from MTU

Support up to 45 overhaul engines at any time

Interested parties should be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.204-7 prior to the possible release of any future Solicitation. SAM can be obtained by accessing the internet at www.sam.gov or by calling 1-866-606-8220.
All interested sources shall also provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, taxpayer identification number, SAM Unique Entity ID, CAGE Code, and business size applicable to the NAICS code (ex: Large or Small business, 8(a), HubZone, Veteran Owned Small Business, etc).

However, responses to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered adequate responses to any resultant solicitation.
