Requirement Description: The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Non-Expendable Equipment National Program has a requirement to purchase Otoscopes Ophthalmoscope Sets to deliver patient care at its VA Medical Centers around the country. Otoscopes and Ophthalmoscopes are primarily used to examine the eyes and ears, respectively: Ophthalmoscope - The primary tool used to examine the health of the eye during an eye exam. It's used to evaluate the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels in the eye, and can detect signs of eye diseases like glaucoma and retinal detachment. Otoscope - Used to examine the outer ear canal and eardrum. It can help identify the cause of an earache, hearing loss, or other ear conditions. An otoscope has a light and magnifying lens, and a cone-shaped attachment that goes into the ear. A single award Requirements Contract will be awarded IAW FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedule of this solicitation herein. Quotes shall contain the terms for cost/price and technical capabilities of the brand name or equal equipment. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, Product Service Code: 6515 Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The associated size standard is 1250 employees. This procurement action is issued as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. This acquisition is for a single award Requirements contracting in accordance with FAR Part 16.5 for Welch Allyn Green Series 777® or equal Otoscope Ophthalmoscope Sets and related equipment and accessories as identified in Attachment A Price Cost Schedule - NX EQ Otoscopes Ophthalmoscope Sets. The ordering period is for one 12-month base year with four 12-month option years. Delivery is FOB destination.
