Page 4 of 4 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support this requirement for Semen analysis and post-vasectomy testing for the Fort Harrison Regional Medical Center. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 621511 Medical Reference Laboratory testing. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a solicitation. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Semen analysis and post-vasectomy testing. The contractor will provide collection kits to the Fort Harrison VA Medical Center (FT VAMC) and Billings Community Bases Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) VA Laboratory. These kits will be distributed to patients at their appointment or at lab visits for the patient to take the collection kit home where they can collect their specimen. After collection the patient will mail the sample directly to the testing lab from their home. This will help providers and patients know if a vasectomy procedure was successful. Another need is to provide semen analysis including semen volume, sperm concentration, sperm count, sperm motility with motile sperm count, and morphology. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION, and multiple awards MAY be made.
